The body of this man was found under Hradisko hill near Mušov, where the Roman fortress was located. The man was not buried in the heat, which prevailed at the time, but was buried in a pit  under the fortress. That is why he is one of the few preserved skeletons of a Roman legionnaire in our territory.  Archaeological findings and DNA analysis carried out  indicate to us that this was a member of the Roman legions coming from the area of present-day Macedonia. This man died around the age of 20-25. He was about 166 cm tall and had a healed fracture of the spindle bone. The analyzes also show that in the last 7 to 10 years of his life he ate mainly cereals and vegetables, which corresponds to the composition of the military diet of that time.
