Neanderthal Hunter

The figure of a Neanderthal hunter was created for the exhibition Welcome to the Neanderthals.

This is our first full body reconstruction. This sculpture is not based on one particular individual. The skeleton was assembled to meet the requirements for an anthropological reconstruction of the body. These are parts of the available skeletal remains from several localities. 

A skull from La Chapelle-aux-Saints is used as the basis for the creation of the face. It is the skull of an elderly man.
