Moravian Regional Museum, 2017

Reconstruction of the face of a 45-year-old woman from the mammoth hunter period. Flat mammoth bones covered a body lying at the edge of one of the housing estates. The skeleton was covered in red dye and stored in a crouched position.

Even though the skull was preserved in a fragmented state, it managed to be completed. The skull bears signs of a traumatic injury which was apparently the cause of the uneven growth of the facial part. The left half of the face is smaller.
